The Rearick Surgical Center is a ministry of Medical Missions Outreach in a strategic partnership with Iglesia Bautista El Faro in El Progreso, Honduras. The vision for this modern surgical center was birthed upon seeing the need in the local community for surgical procedures. The local public hospital maintains a waiting list for surgical patients that varies between 350-500 people at any given time with an average wait of between 12-18 months. Our ministry is to organize short-term surgical teams to come alongside the overloaded public health system in El Progreso, Yoro, Honduras and provide quality medical care at no cost to the patient. The partnership with the local church helps meet the spiritual need.
